RSS allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving summaries of the latest content from the sites you are interested in and allows you to save time by not needing to visit each site individually.

news reader, but most modern browsers now support RSS. This is a piece
of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles
that have been added. You can then set up this program to receive RSS
information from websites that offer it, and browse headlines and story
summaries that link through to the full story on the website.
